My name is Natalia Bocassi, I’m 21 years old and I come from Buenos Aires, Argentina. For years I’ve been studying English and improving my language, so being one the Salzburg Seminar’s attendees is a huge opportunity for me. I’m currently studying Journalism at Universidad Católica Argentina, and I also plan to get a degree on English Literary Translation and Interpretation Course, which I have been studying for two years now: I have always thought that combination is the basis of the “gaining experience” process. I therefore believe that through the possibility of mixing communication and getting in touch with people from other countries and cultures, this can be achieved. I consider myself an overactive person, devoted to what I’m studying and with strong aims to fulfill in the future.
My work experience starts last year, when I decided to enrich myself with glimpses of different potential jobs. So I worked at a radio station for seven moths, and that taught me how to manage a lot of situations: I learned how to produce or even host a radio show. I participated in three press coverages as regards political elections here in Argentina. I even travelled to a little town in the South of my country to get to know people and study their way of living, politically, socially and economically speaking. I nowadays work at Apertura, a business magazine of the newspaper El Cronista Comercial, as a journalist and also as a translator: I have the chance to write and to interpret.
Being a news correspondent is a major dream for me. And I believe this seminar in Salzburg will help myself to develop new to-be-achieved goals.
As a hobby, I love reading, discovering new Websites and listening to music: music is extremely important in my life. I’m excited to be a part of this opportunity and hope to meet a lot of people from all over the world.
